ESCORTS MUJESAR - RAJA NAHAR SINGH (BALLABHGARH) SECTION OF LINE-6 (VIOLET LINE) READY FOR OPERATIONS
The 3.2 km long Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) - Escorts Mujesar extension of the Kashmere Gate – Escorts Mujesar corridor (Violet Line) of Delhi Metro is now ready for operations. This extension of Delhi Metro's Violet Line will be formally flagged off via remote by the hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi on 19th November, 2018. The 3.2 km long Escorts Mujesar – Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabhgarh) section of the Kashmere Gate – Escorts Mujesar corridor also known as the Violet Line is now ready for passenger operations. This extension of Delhi Metro's Violet Line consists of two stations – Sant Surdas (Sihi) and Raja Nahar Singh.
Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh. After the opening of this extension, the entire Kashmere Gate – Raja Nahar Singh Metro corridor will become 46.6 kilometres long.
Currently, 25.8 kms of Metro lines are operational across Haryana. After the opening of this section, the total length of Metro kilometres in Haryana will become 29 kilometres. All trains running on this section are manufactured in IndiaThe main highlights of this section are as follows:
