NATIONAL BRAVERY AWARD WINNER CHILDREN TAKE METRO RIDE VISIT THE DELHI METRO MUSEUM
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) saluted the bravery and spirit of the children conferred with the ‘National Bravery Awards 2017’ by facilitating a Metro ride and visit to the Metro Museum today. The children took a ride in the Delhi Metro and also visited the Delhi Metro Museum situated at Patel Chowk Metro station.
The children first travelled in the Metro from Central Secretariat to Patel Chowk to see the Metro Museum. At Metro Museum they spent about half an hour and then further enjoyed the Metro ride from Patel Chowk to Kashmere Gate Metro station. They were accompanied by their family members and officials from Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW), a premier national voluntary organization, working in the field of child welfare/development since 1952.
A total of 18 children (including 3 posthumous) have been selected for the National Bravery Awards 2017 for displaying exemplary courage. The children are selected by the ICCW from all over the country and they are awarded for their bravery by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, prior to the Republic Day. The awardees subsequently participate in the Republic Day Parade in the capital.
DMRC feels privileged to host these brave children who have set an example for our future generations.AD/ED (CC)/DMRC
