DELHI METRO TO RUN EXTRA TRIPS THIS WEEKEND DUE TO RAKSHA BANDHAN
The Delhi Metro has made arrangements to run extra trips on both the coming Saturday and Sunday i.e, on 25th and 26th August 2018 to facilitate public during Rakshabandhan festivities. Also, the sections on which Metro services start at 8:00 AM on Sundays, which happens to be Rakshanadhan this Sunday, will also have services available from 6:00 AM onwards.
The Delhi Metro will be running 253 extra train trips on Saturday i.e, on the eve of Ralshbandhan whereas, 598 extra train trips will be run on Sunday i.e, on the day of Rakshabandhan in comparison to their routine Sat/Sun timetable covering all the Lines.
This Sunday i.,e 26th August 2018 being Rakshabandhan, the Delhi Metro services will begin from 6:00 AM on under mentioned sections where the services otherwise begin from 8:00 AM on Sundays:-
- Line-2 ( from Jahangirpuri – Samaypur Badli section)
- Line-5 (from Mundka – City Park section)
- Line-6 (from Badarpur Border – Escorts Mujesar section)
- Line 7 (from Majlis Park – Lajpat Nagar section)
- Line 8 (from Janakpuri West – Botanical Garden)
Additional Guards/Customer Facilitation Agents (CFA) will also be deployed at major Metro stations to help and guide commuters on these two days. In addition, extra personnel will also be deployed to handle the increased load on the ticketing system, wherever required. AD / ED (CC)/ DMRC
