During the period of Covid-19 pandemic, DMRA is conducting training programmes for DMRC employees online.

The timings for the online courses are 6 lectures of one hour duration each followed by a 10 minutes break and one lunch break in between. Joining for the online sessions begin at 0900 hrs on the scheduled date. Trainees are required to follow strict discipline and punctuality as per standards of DMRA/DMRC.

Process for Joining Online Trainings


Widely popular software is/are being used for online trainings that are available for laptop as well as mobile phones, i.e. the software(s) can run on popular browsers like firefox, chrome etc. and also has app published for desktops/laptops/mobile phones. Trainees are required to run the software or download the app as per the link provided on their email/mobile, beforehand and familiarize himself/herself as far as possible. First time users to join as guest after clicking on the link provided on their email/mobile. Further instructions shall be provided thereafter. Preliminary/Sample Steps for joining are as below:


Join a session from desktop app or mobile app:


1. Download and install the app.

2. Start the app.

3. Permissions when asked, like usage of camera and mic may be given to the application, for its proper functioning.

4. Click on the link shared on your email/mobile.

5. Select Join.

6. Type in employee number and name.

7. Choose the audio as ‘Mute/Off’ and video as ‘ON’.

8. Select Join now.

9. Depending on settings, one may get in right away, or go to a lobby where host in the meeting will admit you.


Join a session on the web


1. Click on the email/mobile link received.

2. Click on join/use webapp/browser.

3. Permissions when asked, like usage of camera and mic may be given to the application, for its proper functioning.

4. Choose the audio as ‘Mute/Off’ and video as ‘ON’.

5. Select Join now.

6. Depending on settings, one may get in right away, or go to a lobby where host in the meeting will admit you.


Do’s & Don’ts and Etiquette Guide for Online Trainings


Trainees are required to follow certain Do’s & Don’t’s regarding online trainings as below. These are important and hereby informed in advance for trouble free dissemination of training program.

Do’s

  • Be punctual in joining the sessions. If found problem in joining contact the Batch Coordinator immediately.
  • Fetch a suitable and comfortable place for long sitting hours where the network signal of mobile is strong or connect to a high speed internet connection. Avoid disturbance surroundings.
  • Familiarize yourself with the software features. Take guidance of Batch Coordinator as and when required.
  • Stop notification messages/popups of apps on screen through app permissions, which may interrupt and hamper training.
  • Permissions when asked, like usage of camera and mic may be given to the application, for its proper functioning.
  • Mute MIC but keep the video in on condition always.
  • Be in presentable state always.
  • Speak only when allowed by the Batch Coordinator.
  • Try to speak one at a time.
  • Try to modulate speech by slowing down the tempo and breaking sentences while speaking.
  • Keep sufficient battery backup beforehand and charging point ready.
  • Avoid calls during training process.
  • It is generally recommended to use a desktop/laptop computer. However, one may also use a smartphone/tablet.

Don’ts

  • Don’t use multiple Apps/Devices on same network for optimizing band width usage.
  • Disable high quality video option in device.
  • Do not play any media files in background.
  • Do not share link of meeting with others.
  • Do not share password or security related data with the other participants.
  • Avoid multiple participants’ conversation.
  • Do not share screen or file.

Etiquette Guide

  • Sit within camera view.
  • Use a headset with microphone for optimal audio quality.
  • Always keep Mic in mute condition except while raising a query.
  • Refrain from multitasking while in the meeting.
  • Close notifications.
  • Follow instructions of Host/Presenter.
